History

SoCal Lacrosse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth lacrosse organization in Southern California. SoCal was founded in 2004 to provide premier instruction and competitive lacrosse for the youth of Southern California.

Today many of the top high school players that are putting Orange County lacrosse on the map at the collegiate and high school level can trace their roots to the SoCal Lacrosse program thanks to the supportive parents, coaches, volunteers and founding board members of SoCal Lacrosse.

SoCal Lacrosse draws its players from the Saddleback Valley community (South Orange County) and schools of Rancho Santa Margarita, Las Flores, Trabuco Canyon, Dove Canyon, Coto De Caza, Wagon Wheel, Robinson Ranch, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills, Ladera Ranch and Rancho Mission Viejo.

SoCal Lacrosse plays within the Orange County Lacrosse Association (OCLA).

In 2017 Orange County residents, Jenna and Brendan Porter took over the organization as executive directors. Jenna is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, and is an experienced 4-Year Starter for their Division 1 team playing goalie and midfielder. Brendan is JSerra Catholic High School's Head Coach for Boy's Lacrosse. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, and is an experienced 4-year starter for their Division 1 team playing midfield. Brendan then went on to play professional lacrosse for 5 years on the LXM Pro Tour and in Major League Lacrosse for the Boston Cannons.
